Tony has had a memorable couple of weeks working as a volunteer at the London 2012 Olympic Games. A gamesmaker. He’s been driving round London enjoying the freedom of the Olympic lanes to ferry members of the Olympic Family to various destinations around the capital.
Overseas visitors have been highly complimentary about the Games and there welcome from us Brits. One of Tony’s passengers was a Brazilian gentleman wondering how they will match the quality of our opening ceremony!
Tony was recognised last week by Bedford City Council who organised an open topped bus tour of the city centre for all those local people who had been involved in the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Star of the show was Etienne Stott who with Timothy Baillie won Gold in the double Canoe Slalom. Tony and Etienne are pictured together showing of the most precious piece of metal in world sport.
