It’s always gratifying when a client asks us back. So we are pleased to be working on a review of Waverley Borough Council’s playing pitch strategy – we completed the original strategy back in 2012. One of the joys of this study was the variety of good, solid, old fashioned cricket pavilions across the area.
The current project will follow the newer (2013) Sport England methodology rather than the PPG17 sytem that we used those four years ago. The key factor in the new study will be how to provide facilities for the anticipated population growth of up to 18,000 people between now and 2031.
Interestingly, a large proportion of the new homes planned for Waverley will be built at Dunsfold airfield best known for being the home of the Top Gear TV show.
